Texas Should Change Its Gambling Laws

Texas is probably the biggest untapped population for the gambling industry. Currently, buses of people from the Lone Star State head to neighboring Louisiana to gamble. With the budget in crisis, it seems like it might be time to allow casinos and slots in one of the most populated states in the Union.

Strong Language To Make Gambling Revenues Pay For Education

Since Texas is a conservative state, the only way a gambling law would be passed is if there was strong language in the bill that poured the casino and slot income into education. Just making the promise to spend game money on the kids won’t be enough. In Texas, the lawmakers better sign it over to the kids in blood.

Statistics show that the states that promised their lottery revenues to education woes weren’t so successful. General funds are murky at best. The gambling revenue has to go directly to an untouchable education fund. If that was the case, many people who historically oppose changing gambling laws would probably reconsider.

Everything’s Bigger in Texas, and That Would Include the Casinos

You can bet that casinos in Texas would be as big and spectacular as the state itself. It’s mythological history and personality would be a huge draw for people all over the world. Whether it’s slots, poker, or other games, a Texas casino would be something to rival Las Vegas. Currently, Texas allows horse and dog racing. It wouldn’t take much to expand to a casino style event.

Once citizens of the state get burdened with their education bill, expect the gambling laws in Texas to change.

Learn Craps Through the Odds

Craps is ultimately a game of chance because no one can predict or create a certain outcome when rolling two dice. Online craps is slightly different than traditional casino craps. To play online craps, it is essential to understand the odds.

Combinations Are Key

This game can be won by understanding the various combinations of numbers that can be rolled on two dice and betting appropriately. This sounds more complicated than it is, so here is a quick summary of dice combinations.

The numbers two and 12 are the hardest numbers to achieve because each have only one dice combination. The numbers three and 11 have two combinations. In the middle with three combinations are 10 and four; and there are four combinations that give you a five or nine. There are five combinations for rolling the numbers six and eight; where seven has the most dice combinations, a total of six.

Place Your Bets

As in most games of chance, the best bets to make are those with the best odds. In the game of craps, the harder it is to roll a particular number, the higher the payout; but always placing your bets on these numbers means your chances of winning are reduced.
